"Is Zuddas" Restaurant

The “Is Zuddas” restaurant offers traditional Sulcis dishes, procuring many typical, seasonal products from local Santadi suppliers following a zero-km philosophy.

The menu lists mainly meat-based dishes, starting from the antipasti with classic cold cuts like prosciutto, salame, pancetta or guanciale embellished with olives from the surrounding hills and valleys and followed by local pecorino and caprino cheeses. The first courses include ricotta and cheese ravioli, malloreddu salla campidanese (Sardinian pasta dish with a meat sauce) and “pillus” (Sardinian tagliatelle) and so on, all expertly prepared by hand by the restaurant’s accomplished chefs and cooked in the way our grandmothers had taught us. Recipes for second courses in Sardinia vary greatly according to local traditions. The Is Zuddas restaurant’s selection features goat meat or mutton “a cassola” (stew), pork cooked with herbs and – last but not least – roast suckling pig flavoured with myrtle. The desserts are all traditional, home-made Sardinian specialities such as fried ricotta raviolini, seadas and cocias. All our dishes are superbly accompanied by local wines, especially Vermentino and Carignano.

The restaurant offers a set menu, which may vary according to the occasion but also provides meals à la carte.
